Our venture started mid-April 2003 when I walked onto the porch one morning after a fresh rain and noticed raindrops clinging to the petals of a daisy. I thought, 'That would make a beautiful picture!' and off I went to locate my camera which was tucked away in a closet. After taking pictures of the flowers on the porch, I ended up down the street taking pictures of flowers in the park. When I returned home and loaded the pictures to PC, I was amazed to see the beauty in the photos.
A few months later, on a whim, I entered three pictures into a local county fair
and all three were accepted in the amateur division. While I did not place,
one picture did sell. So began the journey for the idea of selling my pictures on greeting cards. The following year I entered the same local county fair but since I had started the greeting card business, I had to enter in the professional division. One of my pictures won the Blue Ribbon in the Flower & Plants division!
What started out as therapy, turned into a real passion. I feel so blessed for uncovering such a gift and wish that everyone actually experiences the splendor and joy in finding their passion.
I have fresh eyes with which to see the world.
It is my wish that through my pictures, you see and feel that same beauty.
